Hola! Here is Mona, an argentinian spirited soul embracing the freedom of jungle life, and Giulia, a wild-hearted italian seeking solace from the concrete jungle of New York. We crossed paths in the heart of Costa Rica a decade ago and despite our contrasting backgrounds, we were bounded by a shared yearning for living a simpler, more fulfilling way of life.
Our friendship blossomed against the backdrop of crashing waves and sun-kissed beaches, where every moment was a lesson in embracing the rhythm of nature. Surfing, exploring, and nurturing connections became the fabric of our shared journey, weaving a tapestry of experiences that nourished our hearts and souls.
Inspired by our own transformation, we embarked on a mission to empower other women to reclaim their passions, joy and vitality. What began as a humble virtual retreat to navigate the challenges of the pandemic evolved into AWA, a global community where women from all walks of life come together to rediscover themselves in the most breathtaking destinations imaginable.
Through immersive experiences in tropical paradises, we craft more than just a getaway—AWA became a sanctuary where women can reconnect with their passions, surrounded by a tribe of like-minded souls. We are the most grateful to be able to share waves, laughter, tears, and moments of profound growth together, surfing our brains out and reminding each other of the importance of self-care and prioritizing "ME TIME" in a world that often demands everything else.

This was my third trip with AWA and definitely not the last. Mona and Giulia have curated a very efficient, well-rounded experience that suits women of all ages and all levels of surfing. Apart from it being well oiled, the atmosphere and environment that they create is hard to replace. Their warmth and energy welcomes all guests. Their stoke never ceases to drive your determination for the next wave. Their laughter is contagious. Behind the scenes they partner with chefs and surf coaches that only elevate the week. I come home every time feeling cleansed in many ways. Inside and out. And always with a renewed connection to nature.
